My name is Leilani Wilde. I am a mother of 4 sons and 2 step-sons. I am a board certified Lactation Consultant and I have been a Postpartum Doula since 2006. I have always had a passion for newborn babies and their families. Being a new mother came very natural for me, and because it did, I didn’t realize that other women had struggled with different issues along the way. Once I became aware of it, I found myself offering advice and support whenever they asked. I decided to become more thoroughly educated so that I could be of more help to the women and their partners during the early months of caring for their newborns in my community.

I am known for my calm and easy going presence with a soft and gentle touch. The families that I’ve worked with have praised me for my ability to encourage them to follow their own natural instincts and offer them ways to become more self confident in their new parenting roles. I help nurture the new families by offering them emotional support, helping the mother to recuperate more quickly by catching up on the rest she needs so that she can attend to and meet the new challenges of her newborn baby or babies. I am trained as a newborn specialist and I can guide the families in a non-judgmental way. I am also educated to know the difference between the “baby blues” and “postpartum disorders” so that when needed I can help point the new mom in the right direction.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) through International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

I am a member of the San Diego County Breastfeeding Coalition (SDCBC)

Trained by Upledger for Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)-

I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula through Doulas of North America (DONA) and I am a member
of DONA and Beautiful Beginnings.

I am also current with infant and adult CPR.
